Cristiano Ronaldo’s Golden Boots Count

Cristiano Ronaldo is a name who holds many records and thousands of memories in football history. The Portuguese superstar has ruled the roost in most of the matches whenever he plays his style.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo’s biggest strength is his mental fortitude. He can propel the team with a single magic that leads the team to victory. After conquering England, Spain, and Italy, he is now shining in Saudi Arabia. Al-Nasser, the Saudi Pro League club, is where Ronaldo is doing his best for the team.

Arguably the greatest of all time, we have delved into every Golden Boot accolade Ronaldo has won in his career.

Premier League- Golden Boot(2008)

Ronaldo’s first Golden Boot came in 2008 when he played for Manchester United in the Premier League. He amassed 42 goals in all competitions for Manchester United to lead the club to win the Premier League and Champions League titles, scoring 31 in the league alone made him seven goals clear of nearest challengers Emmanuel Adebayor and Fernando Torres in the race for the Golden Boot

La Liga – Pichichi Trophy (2011, 2015, and 2015)

Real Madrid made a then-record £80m move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009, and the forward justified that investment with an exceptional tenure at the club. He won the Pichichi Trophy, awarded to La Liga’s top scorer, three times, despite fierce competition from Lionel Messi.

Serie A – Capocannoniere Award (2021)

In 2021, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player to finish as the top scorer in the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A. After moving to Juventus, he won the Capocannoniere Award in the 2020-21 season with 29 goals, edging out Romelu Lukaku of Inter Milan. He had previously finished second to Lazio’s Ciro Immobile the year before, following a record-breaking season from Immobile.

Saudi Pro League – Golden Boot (2024)

Despite any assumptions that his move to Saudi Arabia might signal a decline, Cristiano Ronaldo has disproved this by scoring 64 goals in 69 appearances since joining Al-Nassr from Manchester United. Although Al-Nassr lost the league title to unbeaten Al-Hilal, Ronaldo secured the Golden Boot, outscoring Aleksandar Mitrovic to win the individual accolade.

European Golden Shoe (2008, 2011, 2014, and 2015)

Ronaldo has won the European Golden Shoe four times, with only Lionel Messi (who has won it six times) having claimed the award more often. He is one of only three Portuguese players to have won the prestigious prize, alongside Eusebio (1968 and 1973) and Fernando Gomes (1983 and 1985).

Champions League Top Scorer (2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)

Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, with 140 goals, and holds records for the most appearances (183) and assists (42) in the competition. He has been the tournament’s leading scorer for seven seasons, including five consecutive years between 2013 and 2018. He has won the Champions League five times, and his 17 goals during Real Madrid’s 2013-14 victory remain a single-season record.
